Scar Updates

Day 2 of Scar’s transformation!

What a difference a few days can make with proper vetting and love. He is eating and drinking so well, and in such good spirits today!!! He loves going for walks and getting scratches! He is very affectionate and has really opened up today. He must be feeling good. A lot of the swelling has gone down and we are continuing the Ivomec, antibiotics, pain meds and coconut oil.

We are beyond humbled by the outpour of love and support we have received. Such positive, caring posts…we are so thankful. Rescue is hard and it’s so nice to have amazing people in our corner who do not judge or criticize us. Love always wins.

If you would like to be a part of Scar’s recovery, please call Central Veterinary Services at 204-275-2038 or etransfer [email protected] with the password “scar”.

Scar would like to thank everyone for not giving up on him, especially his Auntie Corinne and Uncle Ashley. He won’t forget where he came from and he is so grateful he had a chance at a new life. ‪#‎SADN‬ ‪#‎welovescar‬‪#‎saveadog‬ ‪#‎dontstop‬ ‪#‎yorklanding‬ ‪#‎positivethoughts‬ ‪#‎mangewontbeatus‬‪#‎reztoriches‬

This boy has been through so much. If you don’t know about Scar yet, well say Hello!

We first heard about Scar when we were in York Landing during our Vaccine Clinic Jan 9, 2016. Scar clearly had mange and we were eager to get him help. He hung out at the arena often and was very sweet. We rescued his Mom Midnight who was pregnant at the time as well. We are so happy to have Scar safe and on medicine, finally. He is responding well as you can see!! We always have Scars best interest at heart and love him so much. Huge thanks to Dr. Samyra Stuart-Altman fromCentral Veterinary Services for taking Scar on and helping us be his advocate. We also are so thankful for everyone who has already donated towards his recovery. We couldn’t do what we do without everyone’s support. If you would like to be a part of Scars transformation, please call Central Vet at 204-275-2038 or etransfer to [email protected] with the password “scar”.

We are 9 days into Scar’s Transformation and lets just say we are beyond surprised at how well he is responding to the medicine and the love we are giving him. Scar has got to be the most appreciative dog we’ve rescued. He is learning to trust and gets SO excited when people come to visit. He is great with the dogs and cats he has met as well. This handsome boy has found his voice, is loving lifeand we are so happy he’s with us. It’s a long road to recovery for this gentle, sweet boy but we are confident he will be as good as new in no time. Scar is still on a a medical hold with us, but he will be transferred to one of our amazing adopting rescues soon. Stay tuned to where he ends up!

Donations are still needed for this gentleman. Every dollar counts. Donations can be made to Central Vet at 204-275-2038 or etransfer [email protected] with the password “scar”. Huge thanks to everyone who has graciously donated and stopped by to give him love. Scar and all of us at SADN, truly are thankful for everyone. THIS is what SADN is about!!!
